I have not seen the film, but am able to see that this is a very fine review, whose message, it seems to me, boils down to the fair assessment of “Two Cheers for the film”. Perhaps this is all we can expect from the world of commercial cinema. I experienced a similar reaction to two widely praised Hollywood films on race — “Mississippi Burning”, and “The Help”.
It is good to see that IJME has space for articles such as these.
