Dr. Sujith J Chandy is an affiliate researcher at Global Health, Karolinska Institutet, Stockholm, Sweden. He was Professor at the Dept.of Pharmacology & Clinical Pharmacologyand Head of Pharmacy at CMC Vellore and subsequently Group Director at Siloam International Hospitals, Jakarta. Dr. Chandy was a member of various academic boards, IRB, DSMB and coordinator for pharmacovigilance. He has been a resource person for clinical trials, ethics, medical education, and research methodology and has reviewed for Lancet, PLOS and several other journals. He was also appointed as member of expert committees related to clinical trials, pharmacovigilance and pharmacoepidemiology. Dr. Chandy has collaborated with INCLEN, WHO, ICMR and Karolinska Institute in research and training, with his key publications in pharmacoepidemiology and antibiotic use. Though hismain interests are rational medicine use, medicines management, pharmacoepidemiology and pharmacovigilance, his passion continues to be bioethics and in particular pharmaceutical ethics.
