Prof. Kishor Patwardhan completed his BAMS from SDM College of Ayurveda, Udupi, in 1998, and his MD(Ay) in Kriya Sharir (Ayurveda Physiology) from Banaras Hindu University in 2001. Since 2004, he has been working at the Department of Kriya Sharir, Faculty of Ayurveda, Banaras Hindu University as a faculty member. In 2009, he completed his doctoral work with a focus on identifying various issues, concerns, and challenges of Ayurveda Education in India and has continued this work since then.

Prof. Patwardhan has received the ‘Vaidya-Scientist Fellowship’ from TDU, Bengaluru, and is a recipient of the Dr C Dwarikanath Award from the Indian Association for the Study of Traditional Asian Medicine (India) for the year 2019. He has served as a member of the Scientific Advisory Committees of IPGT&RA (Jamnagar), CCRAS, and the School of Life Sciences, MAHE, Manipal.

Additionally, he has worked as the Principal Investigator and coordinator of the Ayurveda Network (ayurvedanetworkbhu.com), initiated under the Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya National Mission on Teachers and Teaching of the Ministry of Education, later receiving support from the Ministry of Ayush, Government of India under the Ayurgyan scheme.

His areas of academic interest include Ayurveda biology, Ayurveda education, Drug safety, Research Methods, Academic writing, and Policies on Higher Education. Prof. Patwardhan has also lectured on various topics, including research methods, academic writing, and research integrity in the context of Ayurveda, on various platforms.
