Kiran Kumbhar ([email protected])

Kiran Kumbhar is a historian, public health expert, and former physician currently working as a Lecturer at the University of Pennsylvania. He has previously worked and taught at Johns Hopkins University, Yale University, and Harvard University.

In India, he studied medicine at Byramjee Jeejeebhoy Medical College, Pune. His research follows two broad historical themes: the history of the modern medical profession in India (on which his forthcoming book is based), and the history of health policymaking in post-independence India.
