Abstract:
In recent years, the medical community the world over has witnessed increasing emphasis being placed on the ethics of medical practice. Both clinicians and researchers are now expected to be aware of and work within defines ethical guidelines. For research involving human subjects, it is becoming mandatory to get formal approval from institutional or national ethical review committees to ensure that ethical standards are met.
