Call for applications by The Migration Health South Asia Network for skill & capacity development training workshop to be held in 6-9 April 2020
As part of the Migration Health South Asia (MiHSA) Network we are pleased to invite applications to participate in a South Asia focused skill & capacity development training workshop to be held on 6-9 April 2020 in Dubai.
The workshop is targeted at professionals/research scholars and medical practitioners in international organizations, humanitarian agencies, policy & research think-tanks, NGOs and advocacy networks, working at the intersections of research, data, policy and practice linked to migration and health in the South Asia region. The programme will expose participants to research methods, skills and practical experiences of driving migration health research, programming and policy agendas at national, sub-national and sub-regional levels.
Successful applicants will be offered a fully-funded place (covering cost of accommodation, visa and economy return fare to Dubai) to participate in the four-day certificate course. While applications are welcome from all countries in South Asia, special preference will be given to applicants from Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Malaysia and the Philippines.
Applicants are required to send a personal statement, either in written form (400 words) or as a video (5-7mins), presenting their current policy/research work in migration and health to [email protected] by 12pm (GMT) on 23 January 2020.
