Alan Radley is Senior Lecturer in Social Psychology at Loughborough University and has several books to his credit. He has provided a comprehensive introduction to the important topic of health and illness. The book describes how people think about health, the part played by family, friends and strangers, relationships between doctors and nurses and the place of the sick in the social world.
